The many roles that we play as part of our residency in Sioux City, Iowa, as well as our work with string players across the country, have given us some unique perspectives into the peculiar problems of the student string player.
"All of us in the Euclid Quartet remember the Garbage Pail Kids of the 1980s, spoofing the popular Cabbage Patch Kids. Our first violinist, Jameson Cooper, recently made some drawings inspired by these sometimes-grotesque cartoons, in order to bring to life some common technical problems. We have all seen horrific technique in the classroom, and at times have felt frustrated to the point of combustion..."
